The Lesser Ape is a Hudson Valley-based electric jazz trio.  Bassist, James Maldonado (JamesJorge.com) is an eclectic bassist with experience performing nationally from NYC to Santa Fe on both electric and upright, performing with several jazz, R&B, and world music groups, and with the occasional orchestra.  Guitarist Jon Koerner, whose endless creativity and attention to harmonic detail ties together our electric presence, pulling from his many years as a performing guitarist in NYC and nationally.    Lastly, Drummer Luke Schneiders brings to The Lesser Ape his decades of percussion history thriving in both the Balkan and jazz world.  A seasoned drummer who seamlessly ties together odd time-based music and groove.  Together, The Lesser Ape have become a local jazz trio that helps to bring legitimacy to the Hudson Valley jazz scene.  You can find more information about them at TheLesserApe.com
