The Lesser Ape started its musical journey in the Hudson Valley during the peak of the pandemic as a way for its members to scratch their musical itch.  Bassist James Maldonado and Saxophonist, Adam Ramsey had been performing together for almost 10 years in NYC when they were introduced to guitarist Jon Koerner. With the final addition of Luke Schneiders on drums, The Lesser Ape was formed, and the playful and unexpected sound of The Lesser Ape was found.
